The UA-789 is a home blood pressure monitor that accommodates consumers with larger sized arms. Never before offered in home monitoring, A&D introduces the extra large cuff to the retail market. The cuff is coupled with a high speed motor for a fast and comfortable reading. An ideal monitor for weight lifters, body builders, football players as well as bariatric patients. 

 

The UA-789 is also equipped with Irregular Heartbeat Detection, which provides blood
pressure and pulse rate measurements even when an Irregular Heartbeat occurs, and HeartWise™ Technology which measures blood pressure on deflation. With an extra large display, large buttons for easy operation and an AC Power Adapter, this monitor offers speed, reliability and convenience.

 

To obtain an accurate reading, it is important to use the correct cuff size. A cuff that is too small will result in a higher than expected reading and a cuff that is too large will result in a lower than expected reading. With your arm hanging at the side of your body, measure the circumference of your upper arm at the midpoint between the shoulder and elbow. If the measurement is 16.5” to 23.6” (42-60 cm), this is the right cuff size for you.
