Fitment Notes
This wheelchair wheel assembly fits a variety of transport wheelchairs that use a 1/2" inner diameter axle and 2 3/16" hub width. To know if this wheel will work measure your existing hub width and note the axle diameter (or the inner diameter of the bearing). If the wheel is not available to measure, add the 2 3/16" hub width of this wheel to the length of the carrier tube on the transport wheelchair (the part on the transport wheelchair that accepts the axle) and add approximately 1/2" for the axle nut. The sum total should equal your existing axle (axle length is measured from the underside of the head to the end).
If your existing wheel/tire combination has a metric dimension of 57-203 and uses a wheel lock (brake), make sure the wheel lock is adjustable since the tire on this wheel is a little larger (62-203). This wheel assembly is also the same one used by Sunrise Medical for the Quickie Iris and Zippy Iris wheelchairs equipped with the 62-203 wheel option.
Please note this wheel assembly will not work on a power (electric) wheelchair of any kind.
