Shox® Wheelchair Tire Fitment Notes - Please Read Before Purchase
If your existing tire is a 24 x 1 inch with a pyramid shape (angled sides with a flat top) on a composite wheelchair wheel (plastic) on a basic wheelchair from Invacare, Drive, Medline, Guardian, Everest & Jennings, Breezy, or any other brand where there is no hole for an inner tube valve stem on the wheel, this tire WILL NOT FIT. You can purchase a tire designed for most of these wheelchairs on this page.
This tire will fit most 540 mm sized wheelchair rims. You’ll know you have a 540 mm rim if the existing tire size is 24 x 1” (23-540 mm), 24 x 1” (25-540 mm), 24 x 1 1/4” (32-540 mm), 24 x 1 3/8” (37-540 mm). You can confirm the size by looking at the size stamped on your existing tire. In most cases your rim will also have a hole for an inner tube valve stem (meaning the rim is of a standard size). If your existing tire is a pyramid design (smooth flat top) on a plastic rim, or is not stamped with the 540 mm size, this tire will not fit. This tire will replace most tires used on Quickie, Top End (Invacare), TiLite, or any other wheelchair where the rim has a hole for a valve stem. It will also fit most rims including rims from Spinergy, Primo, and X-Core that have a hole for an inner tube valve stem. Scroll down to read the installation notes for this tire.

Installation Note – Please Read Before Purchase
Installing these tires onto a wheelchair rim can be very challenging without the proper tools. This is because the tire itself is smaller than the wheelchair rim and needs to be stretched onto the rim. If you do not have the ability or the tools to properly install these tires, it is advisable to seek professional help. You cannot install this tire by hand! Please note that EnableYourLife.com will only accept returns of undamaged / uninstalled tires.
If you have a properly mounted bench vise, you can purchase a solid tire installation tool which can be found on these pages:
i run these on an old set of spinergy wheels that i use for travel and they are great. it is true not worrying about getting a flat or putting air in the tire is peace of mind. decent handling tire too. highly recommend

Great Tire, March 8, 2018 By Monica (Baton Rouge, LA)
This is my second purchase of this tire. The first set lasted 12 months or so with no issues. I used to run marathon plus tires which were great however they are expensive and while never getting a flat, I would have to top off the tires with air at least once a month. Once you put these on, you can forget that. As stated on this page, you really have peace of mind (take if from me, I''ve been in a chair for 22 years). Thank you for your speedy service too.
good tire and nice price, November 5, 2017 By Michael (Sacramento, CA)
Overall these tires are great but I don''t think they are equivalent to 110 PSI. They are easy enough to roll though. One word of CAUTION, you cannot install these onto your rim by hand. I finally found a bike shop that knew these tires and I paid to have them put on.
DECENT FOR THE MONEY, September 14, 2017 By BOB (ELK GROVE, CA)

Good tires!, March 21, 2017 By Bruce (Honolulu, HI)
No longer worrying about flat tires is awesome and I would say the ride is about the same as the Primos I replaced. I would have given 5 stars but they are tough to install. Luckily I had help!
Red is awesome, December 9, 2016 By Martin G (San Francisco, CA)
