8 x 2 in. Standard Wheelchair Caster Wheel with Choice of Tire

  • Standard two piece caster wheel design (tire can be replaced when needed)
  • Hub width: 2 1/2"
  • Choose from pneumatic tire with tube (air filled), flat free solid urethane tire, or flat free foam filled tire - all with multi ribbed tread pattern
  • Bearings included: choose from either 5/16" or 7/16" precision bearings (2 per wheel)
  • All tire options are latex free
  • Sold individually (each). For a pair, order quantity 2
Fitment notes:
Many Invacare power wheelchairs today use a 7/16" inner diameter bearing and most other brands use a 5/16" inner diameter bearing. Measuring your existing caster assembly is recommended to confirm size needed.
This two piece wheelchair caster wheel with 5/16" inner diameter bearings can also be used as a replacement for the Pride Mobility 8 x 2 wheelchair caster part number WHLASMB1112 (which is a one piece design). The two piece design of this caster wheel allows you to change the tire when needed instead of the whole assembly.
Measuring your existing wheelchair caster:
Purchasing the proper wheelchair caster is as simple as measuring the old one. Even if the size is written on the existing caster, you still want to make sure the hub width and bearing size will be correct. Properly measuring will ensure you order the correct caster and prevent an installation headache and the hassle of sending them back.
If you have questions about which wheelchair caster to purchase, how to determine the correct size, or an installation question, visit our Buying Guide for Wheelchair Caster Wheels.

7/16 foam filled, November 18, 2022  By Anonymous (San Antonio, TX)
This was a perfect replacement for an Invacare Torque SP. I was especially appreciative that your webpage included a note stating that Invacare use 7/16 bearing and since we’ve used foam-filled it made my selection a no brainer. This repair was easy and saved me $200 by me doing the repair at home.
Excellent result., February 15, 2016  By Anonymous (Waterford, MI)
Bought two wheels to replace standard wheelchair parts (transport chair). The pneumatic tires have provided a smoother ride over rough pavement, turn easier and surprisingly seem to role easier then the solid tires supplied with the chair. Only negative is they are 3/8 less then the 8 inch diameter stated. On the chair you can''t tell the difference in terms of height.
