8 x 22 mm 608RS Precision Wheelchair or Scooter Bearing Fitment Notes
This bearing is commonly used by Pride Mobility for several of their wheelchair caster assemblies found on several Quantum and Jazzy models. Your existing bearing should have one of these alpha numeric numbers stamped on the shield of the bearing: 638ZZ, 638Z, 638RS or 6382RS. If no reference number is present, it may be on the other side, or you may have to measure.
General Wheelchair and Scooter Bearing Notes
Many bearings found on wheelchairs and scooters have a alpha numeric reference or just a numeric reference number stamped on the side of the bearing which refers to the type and size of the bearing. In most cases, that is all you need to purchase the correct bearing. For alpha numeric reference numbers ending in Z, ZZ, RS, or 2RS, they are all interchangeable (Z and ZZ refer to a metal outer side shield and RS and 2RS refer to a rubber outer side shield protecting the balls inside the bearing). If your bearing has no reference on it, you will have to measure. If the bearing reference appears worn off, you may be able to see it stamped on the other side.

Easy fix, February 4, 2022 By DavidPenny (New Caney,)(Verified)
I was looking into replacing a rear wheel on my power chair but the cost was over$100. Was stressed out because of it. Then I thought, "instead of replacing the wheel just replace the bar rings" so for a little over $20 I was able to replace the bearings on both wheels. Saved myself a lot of money.
