Benefits of a Wheelchair Rim Strip
Many wheelchair rims have burrs, spokes, rivets, etc that can cause a puncture in your inner tube. Rim strips are designed to provide a layer of protection between the wheelchair rim and the inner tube preventing those items from causing a puncture.

These 16 mm (5/8") rim strips work on a variety of wheelchair rims from Sun, Spinergy, X-Core, etc. It is important to note the correct size when ordering as there is very little give in the nylon material. You can look at the sidewall of your existing tire for the size. Installing these is nothing more than stretching it over the bead of the rim and aligning the valve hole on the rim strip with the valve hole on the rim itself. Once the rim strip is on, install the tire and tube as normal.
